Guatemalan Elections of 2023
This sample report demonstrates the level of analysis Digital Witness delivers. It compares official election results (Actas #8) against preliminary data published through TREP.gt and SITREP, showing how independent verification detects discrepancies and evaluates the integrity of vote tabulation.
The dataset spans the Guatemalan 2015, 2019, and 2023 election cycles. It documents where preliminary and official results matched exactly and where they diverged. In 2023 alone, 41 elections presented measurable differences between preliminary and final tallies, affecting 168 elected positions and more than 480,000 votes.
This report reveals how our verification methodology operates, what insights structured electoral analysis produces, and how transparency improves when results are tested rather than assumed. It also identifies which political organizations were most affected and provides year-over-year comparisons to measure system performance across election cycles.
